Each year on June 14, America celebrates the official adoption of The Stars and Stripes, the beautiful flag of our home sweet home. The celebration began in 1885, on the 108th anniversary of the Flag Resolution passed by the Second Continental Congress in 1777. However, the official congressional legislation designating June 14 as Flag Day was signed into law in 1949 by US President Harry Truman.
